→ Phishing, Quishing, Pharming and Vishing – what are they?

There are currently phishing emails circulating that appear to come from Nexent Bank. We can confirm that these emails are not from us. They are sent by cybercriminals with the aim of obtaining your personal data. If you are unsure, try to reach us via our secure channels. If you need, please contact your account/relationship manager.
Stay alert and protect yourself:
- Be careful with emails from unknown senders.
- Even if an email appears to come from someone you know, watch out for spelling mistakes and unusual language.
- Check whether the displayed sender name matches the actual email address, as names can easily be falsified.
- Ask yourself whether you were expecting this email. If in doubt, verify with the sender through another channel.
- Do not download email attachments, as they may contain malware or viruses.
- Do not click on login links or buttons in emails, especially in messages related to current events.
- Do not let yourself be pressured into clicking links or opening attachments.
- Only use trusted sources for information, such as official websites or government channels.
- Regularly check your bank statements and report any suspicious activity immediately.
- If you suspect fraud, block your Online Banking access and/or credit card immediately.
- Regularly review transaction history, approval logs, and user activities for unusual behaviour.
To log in, you use your user credentials and Online Banking password together with strong authentication via your registered mobile device (soft token / push notification).
After several incorrect attempts, access will be blocked for security reasons.
The virtual keyboard helps protect you against keylogger attacks, which are used to capture keystrokes and steal sensitive data such as your password. We strongly recommend using it when logging in.
After logging in, you will see details of your last login. This helps you identify any unauthorised access.
We use industry-standard encryption technologies, including TLS and strong RSA protocols, to ensure secure data transfer between your browser and our systems.
You cannot log in using multiple browsers or devices at the same time. For security reasons, you will be automatically logged out after five minutes of inactivity.
We continuously monitor and maintain our systems to prevent unauthorised access and protect your data and privacy.
We regularly assess and test the security level of our systems, to identity and resolve potential vulnerabilities.
Never share your password, one-time passwords (OTP), approval codes, or mobile authentication requests with other employees or third parties. If you suspect it has been compromised, change it immediately via Online Banking.
Always keep your registered mobile device (soft token) secure. If external accountants, finance partners, or delegated users have access to your accounts, regularly review and validate their permissions and activities.
Do not approve or confirm any transactions or login requests that you did not initiate or do not fully recognise. If you receive an unexpected authentication or approval request on your registered device, reject it immediately and inform us.

We will never ask you for your password or personal information via email. We also do not use third parties to contact you about your banking activity. If you receive such a request, do not respond and inform us immediately.
Do not access our website via links in emails or search engines. Always enter our official web address (https://www.nexentbank.com) directly in your browser.
You can verify the security certificate by clicking the padlock icon in your browser. This confirms that you are connected to a genuine Nexent Bank server.
Always log out using /the logout button when you finish. Never leave your device unattended while logged in and avoid using public/ shared computers or shared browser sessions for digital banking activities.
Secure your computer and Wi-Fi network with strong passwords and encryption to prevent unauthorised access.
Ensure your system is always updated with the latest security patches, service packs and antivirus software.
Do not open attachments from unknown senders or download software from untrusted sources. These may contain malicious software such as viruses, trojans or keyloggers.

Protect your device with firewall, antivirus and anti-spyware software from trusted providers. Nexent Bank provides secure digital banking infrastructure; however, companies are also responsible for maintaining appropriate internal security controls and authorization governance.
Phishing involves fraudulent emails that direct you to fake websites designed to look legitimate. These sites attempt to collect your personal data or password. Do not respond to such emails.
Always check website security certificates and ensure the URL starts with https. Visit our website only by typing www.nexentbank.com directly.
Quishing is phishing using QR codes. You may receive an urgent email asking you to scan a QR code, which leads to a fake website.
Do not scan QR codes from suspicious emails. Avoid clicking links or downloading attachments and always verify the sender through official channels.
Use multi-factor authentication where possible for additional security.
Vishing, or voice phishing, involves fraud via telephone. You may receive a call claiming your card has been misused and asking you to call back and share your login details.
End the call immediately if you suspect fraud. Nexent Bank will never ask for your login details by phone.
Pharming redirects you to fake websites by manipulating your device, often through malware.
Protect yourself by using antivirus software and a firewall, always check the security certificate of websites before entering your details.
A Trojan horse is malicious software that secretly installs on your device to steal data or gain control.
